Executive Director of The Arc of Schuyler, Jeannette Frank, acknowledged the leaders and employees of emergency response departments at the Schuyler County Public Safety and Criminal Justice Committee meeting on August 28, 2017 for their outstanding services to people with developmental disabilities and the staff who support them. Frank presented certificates of appreciation to Schuyler County Emergency Services, Village of Watkins Glen Police Department, Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department, and the Schuyler County District Attorney’s Office. The following letter was issued to Mr. Van Harp, chair of the committee.
The Arc of Schuyler Board of Directors and staff want to express our sincere appreciation for the professionalism and personal contributions put forth by employees of the public safety departments in Schuyler County.
Each person that receives supports and services through The Arc is a person with unique skills and challenges. The professional first response teams we have called upon for assistance - firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and personnel involved in emergency planning - have shown great patience and understanding in their interactions and consideration of the needs of our employees and the people we support. Their commitment to assist and serve this community without judgement is exemplary.
Thank you for all you do and the great leadership you provide demonstrating what it means to be an inclusive society.
